skin tag removal With age and pregnancy, unsightly skin tags can develop, especially in the areas of the underarms, neck and face. Over time, these may grow larger, multiply, or become irritating. Dr. Brozowski removes skin tags in her office with a combination of freezing and surgical techniques. This procedure takes less than 15 minutes, and, as the area is numbed prior to your procedure, will not be painful. The skin usually heals within a week and looks as it did prior to the development of the skin tag. To schedule a skin tag removal or consultation, please call the office at 510-549-3333 |
mole removal Moles can be unsightly, aging and uncomfortable. The moles that are the most easily removed without scarring are flat (not raised) and are red or light brown. With the use of laser and chemical technology, Dr. Brozowski can remove moles quickly with no downtime. Perhaps the most aging of all moles are cherry angiomas or ‘red moles.’ These commonly appear on the neck, chest, face and back, beginning in your 30s and 40s. The good news is that cherry angiomas are the easiest moles to remove, and leave no scar or skin depression behind. Dr. Brozowski is one of the only physicians in the East Bay with a laser especially designed to eliminate red moles and broken capillaries, and performs all treatments herself. The treatment lasts only a few minutes and is not painful. Usually only one treatment is necessary to remove cherry angiomas. Other moles that respond well to therapy are flat brown moles and sun or age spots. These can be removed without scarring with the use of a laser or chemical peel process. One to three treatments may be required, depending on the size and depth of the moles. Moles that are raised, thick and dysplastic will likely require a surgical procedure to remove completely. This is more likely to lead to scarring, so a consultation is recommended. Mole removal is permanent, but no treatment can prevent the development of new moles in the future. Wearing sunscreen will reduce your chance of developing additional moles, melasma and cancer, and is recommended for all of our patients. Please call us to find out if you are a candidate for scarless laser removal of your moles.
