"The secret to true beauty is having great skin." How you feel about yourself is reflected in the inner health of your body as well as your outward appearance. Therefore, we offer aesthetic services to improve skin quality and appearance, performed exclusively by the physician. Our emphasis is on natural beauty. Dr. Brozowski uses noninvasive procedures to dramatically improve wrinkling, pigment problems, acne scarring, facial redness and broken capillaries. Dr. Brozowski has extensive training in the field of Cosmetic Dermatology, and uses European techniques which allow for natural countenance and facial expression. Dr. Brozowski is not a plastic surgeon, and does not believe in altering her patients to look eplastic' in the way of facelifts or eyelifts. Remember, if you look like you had work done, you're obviously old enough to have a face-lift!. Instead, her practice philosophy promotes enhancing your natural beauty by softening your appearance with the use of injectibles and resurfacing techniques. Some of Dr. Brozowski's favorite procedures are: photofacial laser resurfacing which removes red and brown spots, tightens the skin and stimulates collagen formation, and Botox and fillers to artistically soften wrinkles and fill in deeper lines of the face and neck. All procedures are performed directly by Dr. Brozowski for optimum safety and results; nurses or technicians NEVER administer injectibles. Whatever your cosmetic concerns, please schedule an in-depth consultation to learn more about which treatments may benefit you. We will help you achieve a youthful, smooth face, free of blemishes, without the need for foundation make-up. For more information on each of our procedures, click on the links to the left. Our goal is to help you to achieve a lifetime of beauty. skin care dos & don'ts do Drink eight glasses of water a day. do Wear an earbud (rather than pressing your cell phone to your face, increasing acne breakouts). Wipe your cell phone weekly with a biodegradable wipe. do Get a laser photofacial yearly to mitigate a years' worth of UV exposure, stress and epidermal damage. do Moisturize - especially in the winter when the heaters run all day. Turn off the heater when you're sleeping to prevent skin from drying out. do Wear sunscreen, even when it's cloudy or raining. do prevent future wrinkling with Botox cosmetic, which is even more effective before wrinkles have set in. do Use Vitamin C serum nightly to reduce your chance of wrinkling and skin cancer. do Keep skin refined with regular medical microdermabrasion. The only proven treatment to reduce pore size and improve skin's teture. A great treatment before an event, microdermabrasion also reduces and prevents acne breakouts. do Get enough rest. Sleep 7-9 hours a night. do Wear a hat, especially while driving in the car - UVB rays pass through glass. Your risk is even greater in a plane at high elevation. don't Wax your eyebrows. Wax pulls at the delicate skin of your upper lid, causing it to droop or become hooded. Tweeze below your brow, and get Laser Hair Removal above the brow line and in between brows. don't Neglect your decolletage. As the French say, "If you want to know the age of a woman, don't look at her face, look at her decolletage." Use SPF daily, get laser photofacial treatments on your chest, and apply Vitamin C serum and moisturizer nightly. don't Get plastic surgery too early. Nothing says "Old Lady' like evidence of plastic surgery. Remember, if you look like you've had work done, you look old enough to have needed a facelift! don't do facial extractions -- a procedure in facials which can cause broken blood vessels of the nose and cheeks. These take a laser to repair. If you must have a facial, tell your aesthetician that you will pass on the extractions. Otherwise, for pampering and relaxation, get a massage instead. don't Use an eyelash lengthening product-- currently under investigation by the FDA for causing possible eye damage (Jan Marini voluntarily withdrew their product after the FDA expressed concern for its safety). don't Use an epilator, which can cause scarring, or wax to remove hair, which contributes to ingrown hairs, blemishes and skin infections. Shave until you can afford Laser Hair Removal. don't Pick at your skin. Most acne lesions go away in 7-10 days. Scars can be permanent. don't Waste money on expensive creams found at department store make-up counters. No skin care products can do what a doctor can. Get basic skin care and save your money towards physician procedures.
