broken capillaries Repair of broken capillaries is now possible thanks to a new laser that targets the red hemoglobin in blood vessels. Dr. Brozowski is one of the only physicians in the East Bay to have a laser especially designed to ablate facial capillaries, or telangectasias, WITHOUT injections. Broken capillaries are caused by sun and wind exposure, aging, alcohol consumption, and facials. The extraction procedures performed in salon facials have been shown to cause broken capillaries at the base of the nose and on the cheeks. For this reason, we strongly advise against facials and recommend that you consult with a cosmetic dermatology specialist, such as Dr. Brozowski, on the best way to routinely care for you skin. Genetic factors, like rosacea, also play a role in the development of broken vessels of the face and can cause skin changes that increase the likelihood of developing broken capillaries. These unsightly capillaries become more pronounced with age and after pregnancy. Fortunately, they are primarily cosmetic in nature. With a combination of our two lasers, one which treats red vessels, and the other which treats purple and blue vessels, Dr. Brozowski is able to remove nearly all capillaries and broken vessels of the face, nose and extremities. Please call us to find out if you are a candidate for scarless laser removal of your facial capillaries. |
